Northwestern's center for peer writing consultations—specially trained undergraduate peer consultants are available to help anyone in the Northwestern community with any writing assignment or project. The consultants help people at any stage of the writing process, from analyzing an assignment and developing ideas to editing for correctness and a polished, professional finish.

Consultations, Workshops, Writing Groups, Retreats, Boot Camps. Serves graduate students from all across Northwestern’s many schools, departments, and programs, as well as postdoctoral students and Northwestern faculty. Clients may book appointments for individual writing consultations with Graduate Writing Fellows (PhD candidates at Northwestern) to review a variety of writing, from papers for coursework and publication to materials pertaining to the academic and non-academic job markets.

Located in Core at the Main Library and just outside the Writing Place (2nd floor North Tower), the Core Writing Collection is a carefully curated selection of books on writing that cover a number of styles, disciplines, languages, communities, etc. Check the collection out in person or look for items in the Core location among your search results.
