Printing from a Library Computer
- Open the document you wish to print and select File > Print
- Choose one of the following options:
- For Black & White: StudentPay-BW-Duplex on nwu-app.srv.ads.northwestern.edu
- For Color: StudentPay-Color-Duplex on nwu-app.srv.ads.northwestern.edu
- These queues default to duplex printing, but they can be changed to single-sided if needed.
- Adjust your settings as needed and click "Print"
- Follow the steps in the "release a print job" box.
Printing from your own device with Mobility Print
Skip the uploading step! Mobility print allows you to print directly from your personal laptop or mobile device. The links below will show you how to set up Mobility Print for your device. After you have printed, follow the usual steps to release your print job.
- Installing Mobility Print on Personal DevicesPersonal devices (not owned and managed by Northwestern) will require Mobility Print to be installed to print in Northwestern Print. Mobility Print simplifies the printing process for your own end-user managed devices, such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, or Chromebooks. It delivers secure network print services for iOS, Windows, macOS, Android, and Chrome. It allows both managed and unmanaged devices to securely print to an MFD (Multi-Functional Device) on your network.
- Set up printing on your iPhone or iPadOpen this link on your device to install the Mobility Print app.
- Set up printing on your Android deviceOpen this link on your device to install the Mobility Print app.
Printing From Your Own Device with Web Print
- Log on to Northwestern Print at https://print.northwestern.edu
- To submit a new print job, click on Web Print in the sidebar and click "Submit a Job."
- Click on the printer for the style of print you need. Choose between double sided or single sided, black & white or color.
- Enter the number of copies of your document that you wish to print.
- Upload your document(s). The number of copies and print options you selected in steps 3 and 4 will apply to all documents you upload. Click on the "upload from computer" button to choose your files, or drag files into the box.
- When you have selected your document, click on the "Upload & Complete" button.
- Release your job at a printer!

Release a Print Job
Print Release Station
Print Release Stations are attached to the printers. Tap your Wildcard or log in using your NetID and password.
- See a list of all jobs being held in print queues
- Release prints waiting in a print queue to the attached printer
- Check the balance on your Northwestern Print account
Mobile Device
Some printers in the Libraries have QR codes that allow you to release print jobs from your smartphone or device.
- With your mobile device, scan the QR code next to the printer.
- Log-in to the Mobile Release page on your device using your NetID and Password.
- Select the print job(s) you would like to release at this printer location.
- Pick up your print jobs from the printer.
