DMA students are invited to deposit final projects to Arch for online access and preservation. For questions about Bienen policies for the Doctor of Musical Arts Degree, please contact Donna Su (donnasu@northwestern.edu). For questions about using Arch to deposit your work, please contact Veronica Robinson (veronica.robinson@northwestern.edu). 

Instructions

• Go to https://arch.library.northwestern.edu

• Click on "Deposit Your work"

• Login with your NetID and password

• From your Dashboard, click on Upload

• Enter required metadata fields:

  • Title
  • Creator
  • Keyword: You may add multiple keywords, but one of them needs to be "DMA Project"
  • Rights

• Click on Additional Fields, enter (at minimum):

• Abstract

• Date Created

• Resource type: Dissertation

• Click on the Files tab

• Add a PDF of your project

• Click on the Relationships tab

• In the administrative sets menu, change "General Works" to "Bienen: Doctor of Musical Arts Projects"

• In the Save Work box, make a selection for how you want to release your project for access: Northwestern only or general public ("Open Access").

• Mark the box to acknowledge the Deposit Agreement

• Click "Save"

DMA projects will be reviewed by staff of the Bienen School of Music before they are made available. If you have any questions, please email Veronica Robinson.
