For books that deal with the literary analysis, many subject headings are subdivided using the phrase "History and criticism"

For example:

• Fairy tales -- History and criticism
• French literature -- History and criticism

Other phrases that can be helpful in finding books that deal with literary analysis are: 

• ... X (Psychology) in literature
  • X is an area in psychology, e.g. Identity. In this case, the entire subject heading would be Identity (Psychology) in literature 
• ... X in literature
  • X is an area in literary theory, e.g. Materialism. In this case, the entire subject heading would be Materialism in literature
