General Directory for Journal Evaluation

Ulrichsweb - Ulrich's Periodical Directory  May be used to help determine where to publish, to judge the quality of publications, and to assess how widely indexed or disseminated articles will be in any particular publication. Example: In addtion to comprehensive publishing information, provides information on the indexing of articles per journal, which may be used as a measure of exposure (the more index and abstract services the articles appear in, the more potential impact any given article may have). Limitations: Although fairly comprehensive for U.S. publications, it is weak in regard to those of other countries.
