SJR is a portal which uses data, from 1996 onward, contained in Scopus and a platform based on the algorithm Google PageRank. The indicator provides a measure of the visibility, impact, prestige of the journals in Scopus. The interface is very simple and easy to use. You can rank by publication or by place of publication (publishing country).
Scopus covers fewer peer-reviewed journals than Web of Science, but unlike Web of Science—with its emphasis on English language, North American publications--more than half of the material in Scopus comes from Asia, Europe, and Latin America. It also covers conference proceedings and some trade publications.
