A compilation and systematic arrangement of the local laws ("ordinances") of the City of Evanston, currently in effect. Though updated frequently, the city code necessarily lags behind council actions. Refer to the Code Comparative Table to see if a given ordinance has been codified. Only ordinances that are considered "general and permanent" are included in the code. The Supplement History Table indicates whether a given ordinance has been included or omitted. Uncodified ordinances may be found in the Chronological List of Ordinances.
