Ergonomic Study Options at the Library

We know long study sessions can take a toll on your body. To help, the library offers ergonomic setups designed to make studying more comfortable and support healthy posture.

1. Ergonomic Workstation in the Towers

  • Location: 3E and 4N

  • Features:

    • Adjustable task chair for proper back support

    • Plug-in station for your laptop and devices

    • Spacious desk surface designed for comfortable study sessions

  • How to Use: Simply bring your laptop, plug in, and adjust the chair to fit your height and posture needs. No checkout required—first come, first served.

2. Ergonomic Kit for Checkout

  • Available at: Circulation Desk and University Library

  • What’s Inside:

    • Laptop Stand – raises your screen to eye level to reduce neck and shoulder strain

    • Bluetooth Keyboard & Trackpad – lets you type comfortably without hunching over your laptop

  • Checkout Policy:

    • Loan period: 1 day loan

    • Must be returned to the circulation desk before closing

  • How to Use: Place your laptop on the stand, connect the keyboard and mouse via Bluetooth, and adjust the setup to keep your screen at eye level with arms relaxed.


Tips for Healthy Studying

  • Keep your screen at eye level—your neck should stay straight, not bent forward.

  • Sit with your back supported and feet flat on the floor.

  • Take short breaks every hour to stretch and reset.
