New electronic resources in German Studies

  • NEW! Der literarische Expressionismus online--German literary expressionism online  
    The German Literary Expressionism Online contains 151 journals, yearbooks, collections and anthologies from the early 20th century in full text, presented as online facsimiles with a variety of search possibilities, including full text. The database serves as a source on German literature of the Modern era and can be used for the study of the history of art, theatre, film, dance and music between 1910 and 1930. Includes scholarly introduction and bio-bibliographical articles on 350 authors.

    The premier database covering scholarly work in the modern languages and literature, and folklore. Some coverage of film studies. Coverage extends back to 1956, with limited coverage to 1921.

    Also known as KLG. A standard reference work on contemporary German literature. Available in print in the reference department.
