Guidelines for Framing Structure Change
- Look at the whole organization - all parts of the existing structure are on the table
- No one will lose their jobs but roles might change
- No new dollars for permanent staff
- Design the new structure based on our core businesses
- The new structure should enable effective implementation of the culture change initiative
- Emphasize a front-facing organization - services to students and faculty now and in the future
- Design to ensure efficiency and high performance
- Reduce duplication of effort, streamline the organization
- The service units should be easily explainable
- The new structure should be transparent and comprehensible
- Space planning will come later
