This guide provides listings and links to a number of sources that will assist researchers in locating sources on Islam.

The Center for Research Libraries (CRL) is an international consortium of university, college, and independent research libraries. Northwestern is a member of CRL and can borrow any of its materials through Interlibrary Loan. Below are examples of some of the CRL holdings related to Islamic Studies.

Requesting material from Center for Research Libraries

Materials from the Center for Research Libraries can be sent to the Northwestern Libraries via Interlibrary Loan. To request materials from CRL please follow these steps:

  1. Locate work in CRL catalog. Under Request Items from CRL select Northwestern University from the drop down list:
  2. You will now be at a library page for Interlibrary Loan. Click on the link to the ILL form:
  3. Select Request Article, Chapter, Etc. or Request Book, Microfilm Etc. depending on what type of material you are requesting:
  4. Fill in appropriate form with information from CRL record:
  5. Click on Submit Request button on bottom of page:
