Study Rooms

Study rooms are available in Main and Mudd for you to reserve! All you need is a northwestern.edu or u.northwestern.edu email address. Find the time and room you would like to reserve and click on it. You can reserve a room for up to 3 hours at a time and up to 3 weeks in advance. Once you reserve the room, you will receive a confirmation of your reservation by email. Be sure to save your confirmation!

Level 1:
Periodicals and Newspapers Reading Room:
Large tables and individual study carrels, along with some computers.

Tower Stacks:
Levels 3-5:
Perfect for getting some solitude, each of the towers have several individual study carrels in and around the stacks. Level 5 is also home to the African Studies and Transportation Libraries and some of the best views on campus.

Level 2:

North Study Lounge

Quiet study spaces have study tables and individual comfy seats.

Level 1:
Information Commons: Over 60 computers, including tables for working together. 

1 South: Ideal for meet-ups and class group projects! 1 South has group and individual study tables, comfortable seating, and portable white boards. Check our markers from Circulation.

Level 2:
Core, 2 North: Three floors of large tables for working and studying with your group or friends. Reserve the Core Project Room or one of the Core Study Rooms

Level 2:

East Commons

South Study Lounge   

All Collaborative areas have day-use lockers, white boards, moveable chairs and tables, and screen sharing options.
