Starting Your Research

This research guide gives you links to some of the major databases and library resources that you can use when doing research in the field of political science.

You will find many resources listed on the tabs of this guide. To look for journal articles and newspaper articles, you can start with Worldwide Political Science Abstracts and Access World News. Then explore some of the other databases that seem related to your topic. To find books, you can use NUcat, the Northwestern University Libraries catalog.

One of the best ways to learn about library databases and resources that fit your topic is to talk with a reference librarian. You can schedule an appointment or can simply drop by or contact us via phone, email, or IM.
