JOUR-390-0: Tackling Tough Subjects Through Research and Children's Books (Lee): Physical Books

Tackling Tough Subjects through Research and Children’s Books

Searching For Physical Books

As part of this class we want to you still experience physically reading a selection of children's books. You can select any books in the collect and the library will make them available for pick up in Evanston or mail them directly to you.

Normally when searching you want to make you search terms specific as possible to limit results. Since we will be searching across a small collection of around 10,000 books you can be much more general in your search.

To limit to just the children's literature and curriculum collections; there is a facet on the left side of the screen near the bottom called 'Collections'.

When you find a book that looks interesting click in to see the full record. If you haven't already, be sure log in with your NetID and password.

After you log in (or if you are already) you will see a request link for the item.

You can request items for pick up at the Main Library on campus or for home delivery (you will be mailed the books as well as return postage).
