Digital Archives

Digital archiving is the act of storing, describing, and preserving digital objects for backup and future use. At Northwestern University Libraries, digital content is archived and preserved by trained professionals following various sets of best practices. However, digital archiving is essential for everyone, not just professionals!  We all have important digital content worth taking steps to preserve.
