MSLCE_490: Professional Development (Glowen/Zeiger): Company Research

Search Tips

  • If you're researching a non-profit or private organization, much of the company's financial information will not be available online. Use the databases below to gather basic information and industry information.
  • Copy down the company's NAICS code or official industry name and use it in a business literature database such as ABI/INFORM.

Citing Business Databases

Most company profiles do not list an author. To cite a business database, list the name of the database as the author. Here's an example:

Orbis. Company report: Field Foundation of Illinois. Retrieved September 20, 2017 from Orbis database.
