Services to Preserve and Share Northwestern Research and Scholarship

Digital publishing at Northwestern University Libraries centers around the preservation and sharing of locally created scholarship through open access platforms. Services to support these activities include an institutional repository, a digital publishing platform, and consulting on issues related to academic publishing and scholarly communication.

  • Arch | Institutional RepositoryArch is the institutional repository for Northwestern University and serves as a platform to preserve and provide access to the research and scholarly output of the university community. Faculty and research staff can deposit their research materials to comply with funder public access requirements, comply with data management plans, and contribute to open scholarship. [More information]
  • Digital Publishing: We offer software, hosting, and support for faculty, departments, and student groups interested in publishing research collections and scholarly journals. Our platform provides a full suite of editorial tools for managing submissions and peer-review workflows. [More information
  • Consultations: We assist individuals, departments, and groups on self-archiving research materials, publishing scholarly work, journal publishing, and other activities related to scholarly communication and publishing.
