Sources for Polling Information

Roper Center for Public Opinion Research
This resource provides access to a number of public opinion polls, including access to iPOLL and Gallup polls. The iPOLL databank offers access to nearly half a million survey questions and answers asked in the US by more than 150 survey organizations. [To access iPOLL, click on link above, and then select iPOLL.] Gallup surveys can be accessed from iPOLL under the "Organization" pull down menu. Provided by the Roper Center for Public Opinion Research at Cornell University, Roper iPoll is the largest collection of public opinion poll data with results from 1935 to the present. Roper iPoll contains nearly 800,000 questions and over 23,000 datasets from both U.S. and international polling firms. Surveys cover any number of topics including, social issues, politics, pop culture, international affairs, science, the environment, and much more.

The center conducts monthly polls of public opinion on politics and policy issues.

Polling the Nations
This resources is a searchable and browseable database of over 350,000 questions from more than 14,000 public opinion surveys conducted by more than 700 different organizations in the U.S. and abroad. Records include the question asked and the tabulated responses, as well as the name of the polling organization, date published, sample size and method of data collection.
