Scholarly articles tend to have a narrower, more specific focus, are shorter than books, and can be more current. They may provide accounts of actual studies, experiments, or expert, informed analysis. If you need to find information on a very specific topic or a very current one, it may help to search an article database.
Books can also serve well to provide scholarly information and analysis.
Some article databases provide full text while most only provide references to articles.
Look out for the purple "Find it @ NU" button among your database search results.
