New Publications

House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Report on Russian Active Measures.  March 22, 2018
“The Intelligence Community has finished its declassification review of the House Intelligence Committee’s Russia investigation final report. Given the substantial public interest at stake, the Committee is publishing the redacted version we’ve received. However, we object to the excessive and unjustified number of redactions, many of which do not relate to classified information. The Committee will convey our objections to the appropriate agencies and looks forward to publishing a less redacted version in the near future.”

Economic Report of the President, 2018
Together with the Annual Report of the Council of Economic Advisers.  Provides an overview of the nation's economic progress using text and extensive data appendices. The Economic Report of the President is transmitted to Congress no later than ten days after the submission of the Budget of the United States Government.

Budget of the U.S. Government, Fiscal Year 2019
Released 2/12/18 by the Office of Management & Budget (OMB) and the Government Publishing Office (GPO).  Contains the Budget Message of the President, information on the President’s priorities, and summary tables.  Accompanied by additional volumes:  Analytical Perspectives, Appendix, Major Savings & Reforms, Historical Tables, Federal Credit Supplment, Object Class Analysis, Balances of Budget Authority, Public Budget Database, Long Range Budget Projections.

RULES COMMITTEE PRINT 115-55 TEXT OF EXTENSION OF CONTINUING APPROPRIATIONS ACT, 2018 [Showing the text of H.J. Res. 125, as introduced].  Filed in the House of Representatives 1/16/18 at 8:53 pm.  Proposed continuing resolution to fund government operations through February 16, 2018. This story from NPR is one of  many providing context for this proposed legislation that would extend government funding and operations past the 1/19/18 expiration of a previous continuing resolution.

US Global Change Research Program, Climate Science Special Report.  Final Clearance June 27, 2017.  Fifth-Order Draft.
Distributed by the NYTimes, this final draft report by scientists from 13 federal agencies was completed this year and is part of the National Climate Assessment, which is congressionally mandated every four years.  The National Academy of Sciences has signed off on the report which is awaiting approval from the administration for official release.

Trafficking in Persons Report 2017
"The Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Report is the U.S. Government’s principal diplomatic tool to engage foreign governments on human trafficking . . . In the TIP Report, the Department of State places each country onto one of three tiers based on the extent of their governments’ efforts to comply with the “minimum standards for the elimination of trafficking” found in Section 108 of the TVPA."  Annual reports 2001-present are linked to this page.
