Archiving a web page

Zotero allows you to save "snapshots" of web pages for later reference. To do this follow these steps:

  1. Go to the web page you would like to archive
  2.  
  3. Select the "create New Item from current page" icon
  4.  
  5. A bibliographic citation for this web page will now be in your Zotero library. Add descriptive information (such as author) to this citation as appropriate
  6. To view the web page as it was at the time you archived it click on the "View Snapshot" button in the right frame of your Zotero library

Adding an annotation to an archived web page

Zotero allows you to add annotations to the archived web pages you have saved in your Zotero library

  1. Select the "View Snapshot" button in the right frame of your Zotero library that is present for citations that are archived web pages
  2. Select the "Add Annotation" button in the upper left corner of your screen to add a note on this web page

  4. Click mouse where you want to insert your annotation
  5.  
  6. You will now see a yellow box where you can enter your notes
